Most apps ask you to fall in love with a profile. We think that's backwards. A grid of photos and a witty bio can't tell you how someone laughs, whether a conversation flows, or if a Tuesday coffee turns into three hours you didn't plan for. Chemistry can't be predicted — it can only be experienced. So we built Pookie around getting people into the same room sooner, and out of endless messaging threads that go nowhere.

Pookie is a modern social discovery platform designed around one simple belief: the fastest way to know if you connect with someone is to actually spend time with them. Instead of optimizing for message counts, we optimize for real plans — a walk, a coffee, a shared activity — so that "getting to know someone" happens in person, not in a scroll.
Vibe Mode, not a permanent label
People aren't static, and we don't think an app should force you into one. Vibe Mode lets you signal what kind of energy you're open to right now — casual, adventurous, low-key, ready to make plans — without locking you into a fixed identity or profile category forever. It shifts as you do.
Privacy-first, by design
You control what you share, and with whom. We build with the assumption that your data belongs to you, not to us. The site never talks to our database directly — every submission goes through a server that validates it first, and the database itself has no public read access at all. AI that assists, never decides
We're building AI into Pookie to help with the busywork — surfacing shared interests, reducing awkward small talk, helping plans come together — but it will never choose who you talk to or make the call for you. Human choice stays at the center. Assistance, not automation of connection.
Where we are today
Right now, Pookie is in early access — we don't have a public app yet. But the coffee-invite feature above is real and working today, not a mockup: you can send an actual invite, and the person you invite gets a real email to accept, suggest another time, or decline. Everything else on this page — the feature roadmap, Vibe Mode as a full product — is what we're validating with real people before we build it, using the waitlist to understand who's interested and why.
